Eric Hsu is a rocker. He started his first garage band in the spring of ‘92, took 1st place at his high school talent show, and has never looked back. During the 90's, Eric played a big part in the Austin music scene and performed hundreds of shows with his bands throughout the Southwest. In 1999, Eric decided it was time to play in the big pond and moved to New York City where he founded Johnny HiFi. For the next 15 years, Johnny HiFi would take him all over the globe to China, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada and to more than 50 cities in the U.S. Johnny HiFi also made many appearances on TV, newspaper and radio stations all over the world including MTV, Billboard Magazine, and The World Journal. Eric has released 10 CDs with Johnny HiFi, and has also written songs for major-label recording artists such as Richie Ren. He is now based in Los Angeles and still touring on a regular basis.
