A portion of the proceeds will be going to OCAPICA to help preserve community driven activities established such as service, education, advocacy, organizing and research to empower Asians and Pacific Islanders.  OCAPICA is also dedicated to enhancing the health and socioeconomic well-being of APIs.

About OCAPICA
The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) is a community based nonprofit located in Orange County and providing services throughout Southern California.  OCAPICA has been meeting the needs of the API community in the areas of health, mental health, youth development and leadership, policy, and education.  Ongoing programs include, cancer prevention programs, children’s health programs, mental health case management and clinical services for youth, afterschool tutoring and mentoring, college and career preparation, voter mobilization, census and redistricting outreach, job development, scholarship program, as well as numerous events bringing the diverse API communities together.  In the past year, OCAPICA served more than 33,000 community members.  More than 70% of the youth OCAPICA works with are homeless or at risk for homelessness.  OCAPICA has seen the need for jobs and housing in the community triple in this past year, as well as a large increase in the number of community members who are uninsured.  OCAPICA is also one of the few community based organizations that is a National Center of Excellence to Eliminate Disparities in Health and has been conducting a great deal of community based participatory research including, publishing about the needs of the API community.
