General Counsel

Rick Ma was named general counsel of APEX in 2018. He serves as the legal counsel for the company for all aspects of APEX’s legal affairs. Previously, Rick Ma was general counsel and corporate secretary for The PRGRM. In that capacity, he oversaw all the legal affairs of the parent corporation and all of its subsidiaries. In his role, he gained extensive experience in corporate governance, corporate compliance, and employment law. Rick Ma currently works at the Law Offices of Jeffrey T. Bell where he has litigated a wide range of matters, including a lawsuit for trademark violation on behalf of the license holders for the Rilakkuma brand.

Rick Ma earned his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School and his Bachelor Degree from the University of California, Davis. During his time at law school, he received the coveted Dean’s Citation Award and served as Ninth Circuit Governor for the American Bar Association – Law Student Division.
