The APEX Youth Education Summit (YES) is a career day for at-risk youth (ages 14-21) to engage and explore their ideal career path. Through workshops, speaker panels and group discussions, students will have the unique opportunity to talk with and learn from working professionals across different industry fields.

During panel breakout sessions, students will be able to speak with experienced professionals from different industries about their career paths.

The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for career path development for youth by providing tools and resources for both short-term and long-term success. Moreover, as part of APEX’s mission to serve the community, YES serves as an opportunity for APEX and its members to positively impact the next generation of future leaders.

YES is a FREE event. In addition to the workshops and career panel discussions, free lunch will be served. Waivers are required to attend. Waivers must be signed by an adult 18 or older. See registration link above for waiver download. Waivers will also be available at the door but must be signed by a parent or guardian 18 and over.

APEX’s mission is to cultivate a culture of philanthropy amongst millennials through a focus on community service, professional development and cultural awareness.

The APEX YES Scholarship was set up to recognize, support and reward active high school students who have shown a commitment to furthering their educational goals with their involvement in the arts, sciences and the community. The YES Scholarship seeks to award aspiring students who are striving to make meaningful and lasting impacts in our collective communities.

The participants in this year’s YES event have clearly shown an interests in bettering themselves through a dedication to pursuing a college education, and of course attending this year’s Youth Education Summit. The scholarship will help students pay for educational expenses including but not limited to, application and tuition fees, room and board, and books.
